The Legion Hall was used for many meetings and especially the Wing Senior Citizens Club, who took over the building in 1981, did some extensive remodeling and still operates it today. The post retained meeting privileges and other functions as needed. In 1988, Robert C. Gehring was honored at the April meeting for having 69 years of continuous membership in the Legion.
